Queer Men’s Therapy Group
As gay, bi, trans and queer men, we rarely get to connect with each other in spaces that feel safe, empathic and understanding.
Many of us carry with us a longing for deeper connection, but feel unsure of how to achieve it, or why it can feel so out of reach.
It doesn’t have to be this way.
A therapy group offers a unique opportunity to explore how we relate to ourselves and others.
We find that there can be profound healing when we connect with others in mutual self-exploration. With the help of other gay, bi and queer men we can gain insight and self-understanding in a safely facilitated, supportive, and affirming space.
How might group therapy help me?
A chance to explore the wounds that we share as queer men, and the beauty and opportunity that our sexualities offer us.
Greater understanding of yourself and your identity.
Increased awareness of your relationship patterns.
Opportunities to try a different way of relating to others in a safe environment.
The chance to receive support and feedback from members of the group,
both to celebrate and gently challenge you.
Improved confidence in interpersonal situations.
Deep, genuine and supportive connections with the other members of the
group, built on shared vulnerability and care.
We meet in person, on an ongoing weekly basis in central Bristol. Spaces are limited.
“I wish the whole queer community had access to this.”
-
We charge a sliding scale fee from £40 - 55 per session, based on what feels manageable for you.
We ask for payment for 4 sessions up front upon acceptance into the group, and payment is then taken on a weekly basis, so you will always be in credit for your weekly sessions.
-
We will meet on Monday evenings, from 7 - 8:30pm, in central Bristol.
The group is open-ended, meaning that you can attend for as long as you find it useful. We ask for a minimum commitment of 6 months, and find that maximum benefit comes from long-term, ongoing attendance.
-
This therapy group is for gay, bisexual and queer men and non-binary people with male lived experience, seeking a supportive space to explore personal growth and connections with others.
It's ideal if you're looking to engage in meaningful discussions and deeper relationships within a facilitated, confidential environment.
It is not essential that you have been in a therapy group before, but it may be useful if you have had some experience of the therapeutic process.
We actively welcome members from all walks of life.
